Hestia’s Hotel Market Index Score was developed to cover forty (40) non-gateway markets in twenty-one (21) states using ten (10) critical factors indicative of markets that demonstrate sustained and growing hotel fundamentals. The markets are then grouped into Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Drive-To market categories. The forty (40) markets are then scored against each other on each of the ten (10) factors. Finally, based on the market category, a weighting is applied to the ten (10) factors to determine the final index score.
